Graduates Apply For Foreign Companies.

Recently, Ian Crawford, former executive director of the British Chamber of Commerce, shared the experience of foreign enterprises in Shanghai over the years, held at the Forum on "training and development of internationalized talents" held at the Sino British International College of University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.

Three reasons for failure of foreign enterprises

Ian Crawford said many foreign business recruiters in the British Chamber of Commerce reflected that there were three main reasons for recruiting graduates in China:

Lack

innovate

Today, with the rapid development, students should not only innovate products and services, but also update the concept of business management.

New ideas and creativity are lacking among many students.

We should not be brave enough to put forward constructive suggestions.

Many students are shy about expressing their personal views and challenging the existing rules.

In the case stage, many students dare not express their opinions in the discussion.

In fact, employees must be able to put forward some constructive suggestions on existing concepts and proposals, and at the same time be courageous enough to challenge existing rules.

The management of the foreign capital enterprise is eager for such talents, and will also look at the constructive opinions of the employees in a positive and open manner.

Difficult to adapt to teamwork

When it comes to team work, every student seems to have a sense of teamwork.

But in specific teamwork, especially in multi sectoral teamwork, it is difficult for them to develop the following personal abilities: self-confidence, encouragement of teammates and development of others' viewpoints.

Teamwork requires sincere listening to all members' opinions and achieving win-win results on the basis of supporting others' opinions.

Ian Crawford believes that graduates have to improve their ability in the above three aspects, and they need to learn and exercise in an international environment.

With more enterprises in China going to the international stage, the talents of internationalization are very scarce.

Two new ways to cultivate internationalized talents

When it comes to internationalized talents, what people often think of is to edify the internationalized atmosphere overseas.

At present, there are two ways to enter the internationalization, one is Sino foreign cooperation in running schools, the other is direct study abroad.

The two approaches are evolving:

Sino foreign cooperative Colleges: the proportion of international students is improving.

For those students who are unable to integrate into the overseas culture in a short time, Chinese and foreign cooperative colleges and universities are a very good pition. Besides, Chinese and foreign cooperative colleges do not let students get away from the Chinese environment too much. After studying abroad, it is relatively easy to get back to work.

However, Chinese foreign cooperation in running schools is not a pure overseas life after all, and it can not feel the atmosphere abroad.

Although there are some time to study abroad, after all, it is too short to stay abroad and really learn to diversify cultural exchanges.

According to Gao Yan, executive director of the Sino British International College, 2+2 is the most popular way for students to choose to study.

In addition, many students choose the way of undergraduate postgraduate education to extend the time for studying abroad.

In addition, many Chinese and foreign cooperative colleges are trying to improve the proportion of international students.

For example, the Sino British International College has set up an international department since last year to recruit international students.

Last year, 50 international students were recruited.

This year, international students are expected to double to 100.

The emergence of international cooperation institutions such as New York University in Shanghai will hopefully break through the "short board" commonly existing in Chinese and foreign cooperation schools.

Direct study abroad: the trend of domestic matriculation is obvious.

In recent years, credit pfer courses and preparatory courses have developed rapidly.

The emergence of these courses is a solution for many parents who worry that their children will not be able to integrate into the overseas education system and culture.
