L/C Payment Should Be Adopted For Trade With Tunisia.

Recently, a number of domestic export enterprises were not properly or cheated by the payment method in the trade with Tunisia. After the goods arrived, customers refused to pay and pick up the goods for various reasons, causing the economic losses of our export enterprises.

If an exporter accepts 30% first T/T and 70% after T/T payment method, the result is that 30% of the payment will be delivered, and the customer will not pay the remaining 70% payment after delivery.

For example, if an export company of our company delays delivery, the customer's L/C expires, and the D/P will be shipped.

After the arrival of the goods, the customer refused to redeem the bank due to the cancellation of the order due to the delay in delivery, resulting in a long delay in the shipment of the goods and the resale to other customers.

Tunisia implements foreign exchange control. In general, it is difficult for customers to make the first T/T. They should ask the customer to open an irrevocable letter of credit at sight.

The operation of the financial sector is in good condition, and the credit standing of the banks is generally good. As long as the payment is made by L / C, there should be no risk.

However, it must be carefully examined. If there is any unacceptable clause, the customer must be required to change the certificate. If the delivery is out of date, the customer should be required to expand the certificate to avoid discrepancies and affect the settlement and loss.

Similarly, our business importing from Tunisia should also use L/C payment instead of T/T payment. In this regard, our company also has a painful lesson.
