From January To August, The Output Value Of Kazakhstan'S Textile Industry Increased By Nearly 20%

According to the data released by energyprom.kz website, from January to August 2020, Kazakhstan's textile industry realized an output value of 42.7 billion tenge, an increase of 19.6% over the same period of last year, and the industrial production index was 107.2%. More than half of the textile industry capacity is concentrated in the city of chimkent (11.94 billion tenge) and Turkestan (11.87 billion tenge). Almaty (3.93 billion tenge) ranked third. The products with rapid growth in production include cotton textiles (15.6 million square meters, + 20.2%), bed linen (+ 14.3%) and combed cotton (+ 9.5%). The production of felt shoes (28400 pairs) decreased by 30%, and the output of felt decreased by 13.6%.
