Canadian Goose Joined The International Polar Bear Association To Launch Documentary

Canada's down jacket brand Canada Goose and Polar Bears International (International Polar Bear Association, hereinafter referred to as "PBI") produced a documentary Bare Existence, which was launched in February 27th.

The documentary called Bare Existence is directed by Max Lowe of Stept studio. It tells the story of the PBI scientist Steven Amstrup, who led the team to protect the habitat of wild polar bears in the polar bear capital, Churchill, Canada. The film crew stayed in Churchill town for seven days, mainly recording the effects of climate change on the habitat of polar bears and the ecological environment of the region.

In addition to documentaries, Canada Goose has also launched a new series of clothing in 2020 with PBI, including its trademark down coat, windbreaker and blue raincoat.

In commemoration of the International Polar bear day, Canada Goose has jointly launched a limited edition Be RBRICK with MEDICOM TOY. Part of its sales proceeds will be used to protect polar bears and their habitats. At present, BE RBRICK is available only on Canada Goose official website and retail stores and Hypebeast's website.

MEDICOM TOY was founded in 1996. It mainly designs and produces all kinds of characters from movies, TV, comics, video games and so on. In 2001, MEDICOM TOY collaborated with artists, brands, companies and people from all over the world to design a series of "BE RBRICK" series of bear shaped wooden dolls.

The new BE RBRICK half mirror half white design is designed to help people reflect on the reality of climate change and the importance of education, dissemination and practical action in environmental protection.

Canada Goose has been criticized by activists for protecting animal clothing because of its natural fur, feather and wool materials.
