Eco label is awarded to those who can reduce environmental impact during their life cycle, including emissions of water, air and soil during the manufacturing process, reducing natural resource consumption and limiting the existence of harmful substances.

The revised standards for footwear will last for six years in order to better reflect the "market state of this product group in the region, and take into account the innovations that have taken place."
The European Commission (EC) said.
What they considered included leather, cotton, wood and cork, and the sources of artificial cellulose fibers; reduced water consumption and restricted tanning for raw skins and fur; and from the production of leather,

And sewage discharge from rubber; volatile organic compounds (VOC); hazardous substances in products and footwear components; RSL; durability and packaging.
It also includes the labor conditions for the first and final assembly sites, including the ILO's guidelines on the three party principles of multinational enterprises and social policies, the global compact (UN) of the United Nations (second chapter), the guidelines for the business and human rights of the United Nations (UN), and the multinational enterprise guidelines for economic cooperation and development (OECD).
"Applicants must obtain third party verification units for on-site review, and the final footwear assembly plant must comply with the applicable principles of the basic labor conventions and supplementary provisions of the International Labour Organization."
EC said
Those products, which have received EU eco label, will have a 12 month pition period.
