If local products can meet consumer requirements in the future, this phenomenon will be fundamentally improved.
On the afternoon of 18th, the General Office of the State Council issued the "2016 Action Plan for Implementing the Quality Development Program", requiring in-depth quality improvement actions, focusing on consumer goods of general concern, such as air purifiers, rice cookers, smart toilet covers, smart phones, toys, children's and infants' clothing, kitchenware, furniture, etc., to carry out special actions to improve the supply of consumer goods, Organize and implement the quality improvement project of consumer goods to increase varieties, improve quality and create brands.

In recent years, consumers' pursuit of quality of life has also increased. Low price is no longer the only criterion for choosing goods. People are more enthusiastic about the pursuit of quality. The commodities that the Chinese people have been shopping for have changed from "only buying luxury goods" to "paying more attention to daily necessities". However, the daily necessities we are used to must be snapped up overseas. Obviously, quality is still the pain point of China's consumer goods. China is facing the embarrassment of "manufacturing power, brand effect".
Solving the quality problem of consumer goods has long been called for, and has also been repeatedly mentioned at the two sessions. At this year's two sessions, many deputies to the National People's Congress, including Zong Qinghou, put forward proposals on building a quality power and related proposals. Zong Qinghou said that with the improvement of people's living standards, consumers' demand for high-quality goods has become more vigorous, and the problem that effective supply is difficult to meet high-end demand has become increasingly prominent. In recent years, the phenomenon of Chinese tourists rushing abroad to buy foreign brand goods is a concentrated reflection of this contradiction.
It is suggested to promote the construction of quality brands and implement the strategy of strengthening the country through quality. Wang Fengying, a deputy to the National People's Congress and president of Great Wall Motors Co., Ltd., also suggested that China should incorporate the construction of a quality power into its national strategy, adhere to the principle of "quality first", and establish a special fund for the construction of a quality power to achieve the goal of building a quality power and a manufacturing power during the "13th Five Year Plan" period.
According to statistics, the overseas consumption of Chinese residents has increased by more than 25% annually in the past four years. Analysts believe that the reason why people are keen on overseas shopping is that the goods provided by the domestic supply side do not fully meet the demand. On the surface, there are two differences between Made in China and the international advanced level: one is technology, and the other is materials. The deep level comes from three points: first, there is a gap in the functional creativity of products, and the key technologies and core technologies are not mastered enough. Second, product manufacturing standards lag behind other countries. The third is the lack of manufacturing sincerity, the lack of sincere "craftsman spirit" and the pursuit of refinement and perfection.
