Designer Hu Xinyu received a bachelor's degree in men's clothing from University of the Arts in London, and released his latest design in October 2013 after the first time in Shanghai fashion week.

Reporter: I have participated in Shanghai fashion week for the second time. Is there any difference this time?

Hu Xinyu: last year, I was in Shanghai fashion week after my first graduation. At that time, I met many small and trivial things that I had never touched before. So there was something nervous last year. Relatively speaking, this year is relatively sure that we need to arrange the time step by step and how to do it.

Reporter: as a female designer, what does men's clothing bring to you?

Hu Xinyu: I think this is better than sex. I started thinking about choosing men's wear. When I was applying to university, because I think compared with women's clothing, men's clothing is more varied than exaggerated aspects. You need to spend a lot of time to study its details, including its workmanship, and have an eternal classic in the changeless. Then you have to make your changes on the details, which means more challenging, so I chose men's clothing at that time.

Reporter: today's last series used a lot of colourful colors, like a little starry sky. Can you talk about this series?

Hu Xinyu: in fact, that stamp is similar to the Longmen triangle. In fact, there is a peacock in it, and it is hand painted. Because the peacock feathers are gorgeous, so I use this to express that people in the contradiction space will suppress themselves, imprison themselves, but want to release the ID. After printing it first, I used the computer processing to make such a color.

Interviewer: can you tell us something about this season's fabrics?

Hu Xinyu: my season is actually divided into three parts. The first plate is to express the kind of urban life gorgeous, so I use all the silk fabrics, because it is spring and summer, hope to fit the skin, because clothes are after all wear on the body, so it is to make the skin more comfortable, all are silver silk.

The second part is that there are some cotton and linen in it, and the fabric is woven, including embroidery. The third part of my fabric is printed on my own, and many are printed on silk.

Reporter: I notice that most of the designs you made are printed and embroidered, but some of them seem to be joined together. What is this part of expression and what are some of the design ideas in this respect?

Hu Xinyu: I spliced this time. In fact, I basically spliced in the last quarter according to solid geometry. The splicing of this season is basically a symmetrical type, which means that it is a collision of ego, so I will use the left and right type, very symmetrical.

Reporter: as a men's wear designer, do you think a good men's wear should have those features?

Hu Xinyu: I think a good dress, first of all, my personal point of view is that you can always wear it, its added value, you can, for example, a men's clothing you can keep ten or even twenty years, many years later I can always wear it, I put it on it can lift up my gas field, can foil me.

Reporter: do you think your men's design clothing is material or some of your profile, or something else? What do you think is your greatest feature?

Hu Xinyu: actually, the most important part of me should be mine.
