After completing the great cause of unifying China, the Qin Dynasty created various systems, including the clothing system, which had a great impact on the later Han Dynasty, which largely preserved the legacy of the Qin Dynasty.

Hanfu upper garment

Hanfu Tops are divided into "clothes" and "gowns". The gowns with wide sleeves are used as dresses and are worn at court meetings and ceremonies. Officials usually wear "Zen clothes" (i.e. single clothes). The style of "Zen clothes" is similar to that of gowns, but they are not lined, so they are generally not worn outside.

Deep clothes appeared in the Warring States Period and spread to the Han Dynasty. Deep clothes are gowns that sew the upper garment and the lower garment together. The collars intersect as if they were straight, commonly known as "hand in collars". The garment is ankle long. In order not to expose underwear, the lapel is specially lengthened. When wearing it, it is wound from the front to the back and fixed with a belt. The skirt was called "train" in ancient times. In the Han Dynasty, there were two kinds of skirt: "curve train" and "straight train". Later, because of the cotton wadding in the gowns, it was not convenient to use curved train, so straight train was more used, and curved train was gradually eliminated.

In the Qin and Han Dynasties, "gowns" were valued. During the reign of the First Emperor of the Qin Dynasty, people above the third grade wore green robes, and common people wore white robes, all of which were made of silk. In the Han Dynasty, this kind of gown was used as a dress. In order to be elegant, the collar, sleeve, front, train and other parts of the garment are often decorated with the edge of the garment, and the decoration is becoming more and more exquisite. Even in the grand wedding moment, this garment is also worn.

Hanfu bottoms

In the Han Dynasty, it was popular for people to wear "big pants" with large trouser legs, which were similar to tight tops Matching At first, it was used for war or long-distance travel. At the end of the Han Dynasty, it became the common clothes and casual clothes of ordinary folk men and women.

Therefore, the Han style clothes are mainly gowns, and the collar type is hand over collar. They wrap people tightly when wearing, reflecting the solemn beauty that was advocated at that time. The upper half of the clothes with wide necks and even bare chests are from the Han Dynasty to the Tang Dynasty clothing It can't be called "Hanfu".
