Good evening! Tonight, the shoe industry association of Nanhai has held the 10th anniversary celebration. On behalf of the Council of the association, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you. I would like to express my great respect and heartfelt thanks to leaders, friendly units and members who have always been concerned about supporting the development of footwear industry and association.

Originated in the seven and 80s of Guicheng in the last century, the shoemaking enterprises developed rapidly and vigorously on the spring breeze of reform and opening up.

After nearly thirty years of rapid development, the South China Sea has become one of the important footwear production bases in Guangdong and even China.

Nanhai shoe enterprises are mainly distributed in three areas of Guicheng, namely, Ping Zhou, Li Shui and Luo Cun in the Nanhai District, each with its own characteristics and complemented each other. Among them, the characteristics of Guicheng's Ping Zhou shoe industry are most outstanding. It is known as the "barometer" of the shoe market. Most shoe factories produce men's shoes with medium and high grade exports.

"Crocodile shirt", "playboy", "Goldlion" and "Montagut" are all world famous brands from Ping Chau's shoe factories.

On this basis, the footwear industry association of Nanhai District in Foshan came into being in 2002, and has just passed ten years this year.

During this period, the association, with the efforts of all previous councils, gave full play to shoe-making enterprises.

The bridge and link between the government and other organizations and the links between them, strengthen communication with government, functional departments and members, organize members' visits and visits, organize member enterprises to participate in influential exhibitions, and successfully apply for fee subsidies for the participating member enterprises; and in November 26, 2011, they successfully obtained the letters and designs trademarks of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce Administration's Trademark Office (the Nanhai Ping Zhou shoe industry), which played a due role in cultivating and developing the local footwear industry and regional brands.

At present, though the shoe industry is in a predicament, at this time, we need to strengthen our fighting spirit and face difficulties together.

Wang Yang, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Guangdong provincial Party committee, visited my association's shoe manufacturer Guangdong Rui Zhou science and Technology Co., Ltd., pointing out that only sunset enterprises do not have sunset industries.

Wind and rain for ten years, hand in hand, look forward to the future, a long way to go.

The current Council will unite and work together to continue adhering to the tenet of "providing services, reflecting demands and standardizing the industry", strengthening communication with government, functional departments and members, reflecting the demands of members and the industry, standardizing the industry, serving members, safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of members, promoting the publicity of the collective trademark of "Nanhai Ping Zhou shoe industry", guiding members to join together in fighting, and jointly create a better tomorrow.

On this occasion, on behalf of this Council, I would like to express my deep gratitude to all levels of government and functional departments that have always been concerned about supporting the development of footwear industry and Footwear Association, and also wish the shoe industry colleagues to have a new development in the New Year!
