Retail companies PPR has been committed to the development of e-commerce. The company has recently said that it will set up a special department to manage the company's e-commerce.

The Department is at the helm of FabienSfez, and FabienSfez has been the general manager of Fnac, France's book and electronics retailer. His appointment will come into effect next month.

The group declined to disclose the proportion of current Internet sales.

At present, the website provides business in more than 80 regions, and Internet sales reached 2 billion 790 million euros in 2009.

The group's email marketing is also a great help to its online sales. It is said that 47% of its customers landed on the PPR website after receiving e-mails in 2009.
