According to the data released by the Ministry of Commerce of Burma, 2010/11 fiscal year 4 to December,

The amount reached US $5 billion 500 million and imports amounted to US $3 billion 300 million, with a trade surplus of US $2 billion in 8 months.


In the 2009/10 fiscal year, the total import and export volume of Burma was 11 billion US dollars, and the 2008/09 fiscal year was US $11 billion.

The export price of jadeite jade is US $1 billion 100 million, which does not include the turnover of the Jewellery Fair held in November.

The head of the border trade division of the Ministry of Commerce said that in addition to general trade, jadeite also exported through border trade. By the end of December, it had exported 3500 tons and earned 90 million US dollars in the current fiscal year, mainly for export to China.


Besides jadeite, black wheat is also a commodity that generates more foreign currency.

It has exported $330 million in 8 months.

However, exports of mung beans and other legumes decreased.

From 4 to August, a total of US $520 million was exported to all kinds of beans, mostly black beans.


Exports increased from previous years to teak logs, garments, raw films and so on.

In the first 8 months of this fiscal year, teak exports amounted to US $180 million, compared with us $110 million in the same period last year.

In addition to the increase in teak exports, the exports of other hardwood decreased slightly, and exported 190 million US dollars in the first 8 months, compared with 200 million US dollars in the same period last year.


Thailand, Singapore and China are the most frequently traded countries in 8 months.

China is US $900 million, of which Burma exports more than 1.9 billion US dollars and imports US $more than 700 million.


The trade volume between Burma and the Middle East countries is US $160 million.

Burma's trade volume with the remaining 20 Asian countries excluding the Middle East countries is US $700 million.

The volume of trade with European countries is nearly US $140 million.
