The world daily reported on August 25th that ASEAN's National Silk appraisal campaign in Thailand was launched in Bangkok yesterday, and 340 of 5 countries from Laos, Burma, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand were selected in 2010 countries.

The selection committee will appraising the best silk fabrics in 4 categories according to the characteristics of silk pattern, color and workmanship, and will receive the award from Princess of princesses today.


It is reported that this is the first ASEAN level national silk appraisal activities, all the selected silk fabrics to participate in the evaluation, must have been textile for more than 50 years, so far still maintain bright colors, at least two groups of texture is still clear fabrics.

The project is divided into 4 categories: silk weaving, special technology, silk design and ancient silk.


The judges will synthesize the pattern of the fabric.

The selection of the best silk title will be presented to the princess at the opening ceremony of the "Tess" - the peacock brand.
