Yunnan'S Export To ASEAN Has Become A Bright Spot.

Since the completion of the China ASEAN Free Trade Area in January 1st this year, the trade between Yunnan and ASEAN countries has witnessed rapid growth.

Yesterday, we learned from the Yunnan provincial chamber of commerce that Yunnan's import and export trade with ASEAN reached 1 billion 998 million US dollars in the first half of this year, an increase of 54.2% over the same period last year.

It is worth mentioning that the export of electricity and clothing has become a bright spot. Clothing exports for the first time exceeded 100 million, reaching 136 million US dollars, up nearly 10 times compared with the same period last year.

According to customs statistics, from 1 to June in 2010, Yunnan's exports and imports to ASEAN reached US $1 billion 998 million, exports amounted to US $1 billion 251 million, an increase of 48.6% over the same period last year, and imports of US $748 million, up 64.6% over the same period last year.

Import growth is higher than export, and trade surplus decreases.

From 1 to June, Yunnan's imports from ASEAN increased by 64.6%, and the trade surplus of 500 million US dollars, down by 3.5%.

Imports of Thailand, Malaysia, Laos and Philippines increased by more than 1 times, and the increase in imports to Malaysia reached 4.18 times, ranking first.

It is noteworthy that our province's trade volume with Malaysia exceeded 300 million US dollars, an increase of 3.5 times, ranking second only to Brunei.
