Waterless Printing

China is a big textile producing country.

Printing and dyeing industry

Dyeing of fabrics with water as medium has resulted in a large amount of chemical pollutants in the water due to the incompleteness of the water phase reaction.

Data show that at present, the printing and dyeing industry will produce 300 to 400 cubic meters of polluted water per 10000 meter printed fabric.

Because the technology of wastewater treatment is difficult and invested heavily,

Textile printing and dyeing

Wastewater treatment is always a bottleneck for the sustainable development of textile industry.

In recent years, the emergence of anhydrous printing, especially the technology of pfer printing, seems to bring a glimmer of light to solve the problem of zero discharge of sewage in the printing and dyeing industry.

Because pfer printing belongs to gas phase reaction, without water as medium, there will be little or no problem of wastewater discharge.

However, the "fatal wound" of pfer printing technology is that it can not be used in nature.

Fiber fabric

Under the environment of people seeking to return to nature, the limitation of pfer printing hinders its further development.

Recently, an inventor of Xiang Bao, an engineer of the snow leopard Institute of fine chemicals, found the key to solve the problem that printing can not print natural fabrics.

Recently, the reporter interviewed Tong Xiang.

Reporter: in order to solve the problem of pfer printing of natural fiber fabrics, a lot of researches have been done at home and abroad in the past ten years, mainly because natural fibers are not easy to "retain" disperse dyes. How do you solve them?

Tong Xiang: at home and abroad, there have been many attempts to sublimate and pfer printing of natural fibers by means of modification, bridging and coating. However, they all have to give up because of the poor coloring rate, migration and color fastness.

Therefore, how to solve the problem of color rate, color fastness and migration will be the key to success or failure.

The "pre-treatment agent" developed by us has expanded the scope of pfer printing, and the technology synthetic fiber, man-made fiber and natural fiber are "ready to eat" now.

Reporter: How did you solve this problem?

Tong Xiang: we have developed a new "pretreatment agent" to solve the problem of heat pfer printing of natural fibers such as wool and silk.

We call it "natural fiber pfer printing fixative regulator", popularly known as "bridging agent".

It sets up a "bridge" between natural fibers and dyes. Through chemical bonds and fiber combinations, polymer functional groups are copolymerized and cross-linked, thus solving the technical problems of natural fiber pfer printing.

Reporter: sublimation pfer printing, through heating, disperse the dye molecules which are heated into gas and disperse into the fabric to achieve the purpose of coloring.

This has been realized on polyester fiber.

But how to solve the problem of heating carbonization on natural fiber fabrics?

Tong Xiang: in order to adapt to the operation of anhydrous printing and dyeing process, we have made the "pretreatment agent" into the dispersed system (emulsion) with water as the main body.

It is a polyelectrolyte (polymer electrolyte) multi clock multi monomer copolymer, belongs to the functional polymer materials in the reaction function material, its reactivity through polymer functional group copolymerization, cross-linking play a role.

In the sublimation pfer printing with wool and silk, the chemical bond reaction between the auxiliaries and the fiber surface resulted in the formation of cross-linking between the polymer and the polymer, adjusting the proportion of the two monomers, and improving the heat resistance of the fabric.

Reporter: how many kinds of "pre-treatment agents" do you develop at present? What is the output?

Tong Xiang: in May 2006, with the support of Jiangsu snow leopard daily chemical company, we set up the "natural fiber pfer printing fixative regulator development group".

At present, we have developed the "pre-treatment agent" has 81 formulations, can provide products according to the different requirements of customers, the annual output of more than 3600 tons, is now expanding the scale of production, in May 2010 will form 30000 tons / year production capacity.

Interviewer: what are your plans for the next step?

Tong Xiang: Based on this study, we will further expand the application scope of the "pretreatment agent".

If we try to pfer printing on leather and wood, this market will have a bright future.

The zero emission sublimation pfer printing method (water less printing) has gradually replaced traditional printing with water, and from wet printing and dyeing to excessive printing and dyeing, it is a complex system engineering. It involves many fields and disciplines. It needs to consider all the factors such as materials, technology, equipment and national industrial policy orientation.

However, this will undoubtedly become the development direction of printing and dyeing industry.

The research team of snow leopard Fine Chemical Research Institute should be taken seriously.

It is understood that this study is entirely based on their own grope, in their words, "blind climb", step by step to the top of the mountain.

The only thing we need to do in the face of this innovative technology is to encourage them to continue their career and make the pfer printing perfect.
