Polyurethane Industry: Energy Saving And Environmental Protection, Giving Birth To New Market.

2008/4/10 0:00:00 80

In recent years, China has developed into the center of the global manufacturing industry, and has gradually become one of the important manufacturing and supply bases of the international polyurethane industry.

At the Sixth International Polyurethane Industry Exhibition held recently in Guangzhou, apart from a wide variety of exhibits, the hot spots and difficulties of industrial development have also become the focus of attention of exhibitors and spectators.

Industrial development should be centralized.

According to the relevant experts of the organizers, the current situation of polyurethane industry in China can be summarized as three points: first, in the international polyurethane market, the trend of large-scale and specialized production of basic raw materials is obvious; two, the new materials, new technologies, new technologies and new applications of polyurethane have springing up all over the world and penetrated into all fields of national economy and daily life. Three, the polyurethane industry in the Yangtze River Delta region began to form industrial groups from raw materials to various products relying on the advantages of raw materials, market, trade and talent.

However, at present, China's polyurethane industry's investment in independent innovation is not enough, and the corresponding institutional mechanisms are also not sound enough.

Experts said that in the face of the new market situation, the domestic polyurethane industry should speed up its efforts towards collectivization, scale and specialization.

The relevant government departments should strengthen the guidance of industrial planning, encourage the cultivation of polyurethane production bases in key areas, and cultivate a group of enterprises, such as Yantai Wanhua, Gaoqiao Petrochemical, Huafeng Group and so on, with a strong strength to enhance the international competitiveness of China's polyurethane industry as a whole.

Development imbalance is a constraint factor

A series of new polyurethane products, such as polyurethane compound, elastomers and auxiliaries, have attracted the attention of many people in Huizhou.

The representative of the company believes that there are problems in the development of polyurethane industry, such as uneven production layout and lagging downstream technological innovation.

At present, the domestic polyurethane production is extremely unbalanced, the main production capacity is concentrated in the eastern region, and the development speed of other areas is slow because of lack of funds, technology and human resources.

In addition, as a part of the industrial chain, the development of downstream products market will directly affect the production of upstream raw materials.

It is understood that in recent years, China's upstream production of raw materials supporting development is still available, of which polyether polyols and isocyanates production level has been greatly improved, but the downstream application areas of technological innovation need to be accelerated.

Compared with foreign countries, the technical gap of polyurethane downstream products in China is relatively large, and most products are still in the primary application stage.

Energy saving and environmental protection generate new market

In recent years, with the concept of environmental protection getting more and more popular, the superiority of polyurethane products is also highlighted.

The development of waterproof and thermal insulation new building materials, superfine fiber super leather, polyurethane imitation wood materials and so on, reflects from one side that China is gradually integrating with the international market.

The head of Shenzhen lianliqun Industrial Co., Ltd. said that with its own characteristics, polyurethane is gradually replacing wood, natural leather and other materials, and constantly opening up new space beyond traditional applications.

Statistics show that about 50% of building insulation materials in developed countries such as Europe and America are polyurethane materials, but in China, this proportion is only about 10%.

The energy saving medium and long term special plan promulgated by the state recently stipulates that by 2010, China's urban buildings need to achieve the design standard of 50% energy saving. By 2020, the new buildings should achieve at least 65% energy saving.

A exhibitor who runs polyurethane building materials in Zhejiang said that the building energy conservation policy has created huge development space for our polyurethane industry. They will actively do a good job in reducing costs, improving the performance and construction technology of polyurethane rigid foam, and strive to get a share in the building insulation market.
