Shoe leather industry is one of the pillar industries in our district. Last year, shoe and leather enterprises in the region achieved a total industrial output value of 11.1 billion yuan, a record high. Among them, 15 enterprises with an output value of 3.455 billion yuan exceeded 100 million yuan; 56 enterprises with an output value of 2.94842 billion yuan, ranging from 30 million yuan to 100 million yuan; 130 enterprises with an output value of 2.0370.9 billion yuan from 5 million yuan to 30 million yuan; The value of foreign trade export delivery is 3.1 billion yuan. At present, the member enterprises of the Association have 6 Chinese well-known trademarks, 4 Chinese famous leather shoes, 9 national inspection free products and 10 products, 19 national leather signs and 21 products, 7 provincial famous brands, 6 provincial famous brands, 7 municipal famous brand products, 8 municipal famous brand enterprises, and 8 district famous brand products, with remarkable brand construction achievements. In our district, the shoe leather industry has a long history. As early as 500 years ago, there were specialized shoe leather producers in the Song and Ming dynasties. In the 1980s and 1990s, with the arrival of the wave of reform and opening up, Wenzhou footwear enterprises have sprung up everywhere. The shoe leather industry has also driven the development of related supporting industries. According to the registration of the industry and commerce department, there are 2726 production enterprises related to shoes in our district, including 2445 shoe makers, 130 leather makers, 18 shoe machines, and 133 shoe material producers. A series of products, mainly leather shoes manufacturing, are formed, including tourist shoes, rubber shoes, children's shoes, injection molding shoes, leisure shoes, slippers, special function labor protection shoes, cow leather, film transfer leather, artificial leather, etc.
