Cotton Production In Xinjiang Is In Full Swing.

Since August 12th, the eight production division of the Xinjiang production and Construction Corps, the 143 regiment, has launched the cotton production test this year.

The 100 thousand acres of cotton planted this year, because 100% of the water-saving drip irrigation, 100% of the wide range of cotton planting, 100% of the precision seeding, 100 of the film on demand, 100% of high-density cotton, 100% seed coating, 100% of the introduction of the disease resistant and High-yielding new varieties of advanced technology, so that the growth of cotton is better than any other year, harvest is a foregone conclusion.

In order to find out the actual output of cotton this year, we should provide scientific basis for various work in the three seasons, and arrange the labor of picking flowers reasonably, so as to ensure the high yield and good harvest of cotton.

The regiment has set up a leading group of cotton production monitoring, headed by the political commissar and head of the Communist Party, and a total of 20 people.

Each unit has also set up a cotton production monitoring team composed of company commander, secretary, business cadre, staff representatives and contractors.

Methods of measuring production: 1. Use diagonal sampling or checkerboard picking method, generally 15 to 20 acres of land for a point, take points to be representative, avoid blindness and randomness.

2, the number of Mu harvested plants investigated: the width of two broadcast ranges is calculated, the length of the Mu is calculated, the total number of 4 films is counted, and then the sum of multiple summation is multiplied by 20, that is, the number of acres of the contracted households.

3, the number of bolls: 50 samples were collected from the border and the middle bank, and then the average number of bolls per 100 plants was counted.

4. The weight of single bolls is calculated according to varieties: 5 to 5.5 grams.

It is required that the units responsible for measuring the production should be conscientiously responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the representativeness of the sampling and the accuracy of the data, and the positive and negative error of the production result is less than 2%.

The regiment requires that the cotton production task be completed before August 20th. The time group will organize the relevant personnel to go deep into the various units for reexamination. Once the problem is found, it will be dealt with seriously.
