On August 7, 2018, The preliminary evaluation meeting of 2018 China Pinghu fashion design competition was successfully held in Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province.

Pinghu Economic and Information Bureau/ Pinghu clothing creative service Ltd. Chairman Wu Jian, Pinghu Clothing Industry Association Secretary General Zhu Xiaowei attended the preliminary evaluation meeting.

The competition, with the theme of "source. Creativity", lasted for five months from April to September. A total of 415 contributions were received from Beijing, Hong Kong, Tianjin, Guangdong, Sichuan, etc. In addition to winning the domestic competition Beijing Institute of fashion More than 50 colleges and universities such as China Academy of fine arts, Zhejiang University of science and technology, Jiangnan University and so on have been fully supported. The preliminary evaluation panel of the competition invited five domestic experts: Tao Yin, director of the Department of dyeing, weaving and clothing, China Academy of fine arts, vice president, professor and graduate supervisor of the school of fashion design, Zhejiang University of science and technology, Hu Xun, executive member of the academic committee of China Fashion Designers Association, and Zhejiang shangguchuan, a leading entrepreneur of high-end women's clothing original design of the Ministry of industry and information technology Lu Xinyu, chairman, general manager and creative director of Qi Fashion Design Co., Ltd., Jiang Nan, chairman of Shanghai Lanyan Fashion Design Co., Ltd., and Liu jianlead, director of designer branch of Zhejiang Fashion Association.

How to organize a competition with local characteristics is the whole clothing It is urgent to think about the education of clothing industry. Now many places are doing competitions, so that the contestants have accumulated certain experience and designers have formed a certain set of submission routines, which has advantages and disadvantages. The good side is reflected in the obvious practicality and landing, but the disadvantage is that the accumulation of experience makes the design work to its liking, which has certain restrictions on the designer's creativity and innovation. We hope that Pinghu competition will find a characteristic direction to boost the development of the industry, and the better it will be.

As a player, we should pay more attention to creative and innovative design, and not be bound by conventional design thinking.

Four years later, when I came to Pinghu again to see the works of the competition, I felt that the overall level of the competition works had made a leap forward, which reflected that Pinghu has devoted a lot of efforts to the development of the clothing industry. Indeed, the influence of Pinghu clothing in the country is also increasing year by year. From the perspective of fashion design, many designers have a unique understanding of the new generation of fashion design.

Many designers are lack of their own unique understanding of the works, lack of creativity and ideas, individual design works are more from the fashion week, the press conference. On the other hand, the use of color is not bold enough to restrain new creativity and inspiration. I hope that designers should be bold, innovative and creative, and not be bound by the framework. Of course, it is gratifying that some bold and excellent works have been selected today.

Designers dare to think and dare to do, exposed shortcomings are: first, the lack of comprehensive, professional knowledge is not solid and comprehensive. The style drawings and effect drawings of individual works are not professional and not in place, and the use of colors is not bold enough; second, the level differences of different levels are obvious; third, the expression of popular elements is not in place, and the market is relatively lacking; fourth, the design style is homogenized, and the contestants may come from the same teacher's guidance and the same design organization. On the whole, many designers have various ideas and styles, which are greatly improved compared with previous years.

A person's taste is better, ear sound is better, can understand several dialects more. It doesn't matter if the taste is monotonous and the aura is poor. The most important thing is to have a wider interest in life.
