In the press conference of the Ministry of national defense of Taiwan, four new digital camouflage field clothes were unveiled for the first time. Colonel Zhang Zhongcheng, director of science and technology industry of the Taiwan arms Bureau, stressed that the fabric materials of the New Digital Camouflage field clothing were made by domestic manufacturers. The camouflage effectiveness of wearing comfort and camouflage pattern was better than that of the traditional camouflage suits, and the cuffs, trouser legs and waist were changed to the design of devil's felt.

Zhang Zhongcheng pointed out that the second, 0, three factory of the armament production center, which is responsible for developing the New Digital Camouflage field clothes, is designed by the R & D team, mainly considering the material requirements such as comfort, air permeability and abrasion resistance. After selecting sixteen sites covering the north, central and southern coastal areas (shoal), shallow mountains, jungle and towns in Taiwan, the camouflage parameters were adjusted through the field scene analysis, image fusion and computer camouflage numerical simulation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and four camouflage patterns with camouflage effect better than the current camouflage were completed. They were named size mixed type 1, size mixed type 2, wide type and long strip type respectively.

Zhang Zhongcheng pointed out that the test and evaluation were made by the army's integration of the army's planning and testing, divided into cloth evaluation and pattern evaluation, and strict fashion design. As for cloth material, the current camouflage clothing is used as the benchmark for measuring base cloth, and is assigned to the troops stationed in Taishan, Taichung, Taipei, Kaohsiung and Fengshan.

The newly developed four fabrics have been tested and accepted by all officers and men. They meet the requirements of general clothing and have the highest total score in the base cloth 4 (NW-2) style. This type of cloth has better permeability and soft texture, and the thickness of cloth is suitable for four seasons wear.
